How to Add a Twitter Profile Header Photo

Your header photo is the large image that will display at the top of your Twitter profile. It helps brands and businesses enhance their identity and market their products. This article shows you how to add or change your header image on Twitter.

How to add or change your Twitter header image

Step 1: Go to Twitter and log into your account.

Step 2: Click on your profile photo in the top right-hand corner and select Profile.

Step 3: Click Edit profile button right under your header photo.

Step 4: Click Add a header photo or Change your header photo if you've already had one.

Step 5: Click Upload photo. 

Step 6: A screen will pop up showing current pictures on your computer. Choose a photo from your computer and click Open.

Twitter recommends a header image size of 1500x500 pixels to best suit your profile page. You cannot upload a photo that exceeds 5MB in size.

Step 7: Click and drag the photo to adjust it. You can use the slider to scale it as you want.

Step 8: Click Apply. 

Step 9: Click Save changes.
