On Computer

Step 1. Open a web browser and go to https://mail.google.com/.

Step 2. Log in to your Gmail account. Skip this step if your account is signed in already.

Step 3. Click the profile picture icon at the top right of the Gmail screen. Next, click on the small camera icon on your profile picture (like shown in the image below).

Step 4. Click on the "Add profile picture" button.

Step 5. A window will now open giving you options to use photos from the "Illustrations" tab or "From computer."

     - In the "Illustrations" tab, you can find a lot of illustration images to use as your Gmail profile picture. Simply select one that you prefer and edit it to your liking.

     - If you want to use your own image, click on the "From computer" tab. Next, you will have three options to upload your Gmail profile image: Drag photo here, Upload from computer, and Take a picture. Choose one and then follow the on-screen instructions to upload your profile picture as well as edit it to your liking.

Step 6. When you are done, simply click Next and then select the "Save as profile picture" option to finish.

You may need to wait a few moments for your new Gmail profile picture to be fully uploaded.
