Facebook Login Alerts is a great feature that helps you improve the security of your account. Once you enable it, you will be notified when someone tries logging into your account from an unrecognized device or browser. You can choose to receive notifications or alerts from your web browser or your email.
How to turn on Facebook Login Alerts
Step 1: Log into your account.
Step 2: Go to Security and Login settings.
Step 3: Scroll down to the Setting Up Extra Security section.
Step 4: Click Edit to the far right of Get alerts about unrecognized logins.
Step 5: Click Get notifications.
Step 6: Choose the type of alert you'd like to receive (via Email or Messenger).
Step 7: Click Save Changes.
After you turn on login alerts:
- You can add a device or browser to your list of trusted browsers or recognized devices so you won't be notified when you log into your account on a mobile device or a computer you usually use. It's not recommended if you are using a public computer.
- If you receive a login alert, click or tap This was me if you recognize that login activity or This wasn't me if you don't recognize it. Then, you can reset your password to secure your account.
